How to read the chart in your home
The chart is the same for every home in 2027; what changes from one home to the next is where north lies. Stand at the center of your home with a compass, or open the compass on your phone, and divide the floor plan into nine parts: the center and the eight directions around it. Each part takes the star shown in the same place on the chart.
The annual chart comes from the almanac’s practice of the flying stars, which reads time; the Form School, which LuckMove follows for every room, reads shape. The two sit side by side: the room first, then the year.
The parts of the home to keep quiet in 2027
The tradition asks for quiet in four parts this year: the north, where the Five Yellow falls; the west, which the Two Black shares with the Three Killings; the southwest, where the Tai Sui sits; and the northeast, the Sui Po facing it. Quiet means no drilling, digging or renovation there until the next Li Chun, February 4, 2028, 2:31 AM Eastern time. Beds, desks and sofas that already stand there can stay; keep those parts tidy and calm, and the tradition sets a solid brass object where the Five Yellow and the Two Black fall, two earth stars that metal settles.

Questions people ask
At Li Chun, the start of spring: February 3, 2027, 8:46 PM Eastern time (February 4, 2027, 9:46 AM in Beijing). The lunar New Year falls on February 6, 2027, but the almanac turns its chart at Li Chun.
In the north. The tradition treats it as the most unsettling star of the year, so that part of the home is left without drilling, digging or renovation until the next Li Chun.
In the southwest, with the Sui Po opposite it in the northeast. The tradition asks you not to renovate in either part this year, and not to sit facing the Tai Sui for long hours.
In the west, the same part as the Two Black this year. The tradition starts no renovation there, and holds that the Three Killings may be faced but should never be at your back.
Yes. Each almanac month begins at its solar term and brings its own star to the center, and the other eight move with it. The year’s chart stays in force underneath, month after month, from one Li Chun to the next.
